For 1 serving
- A full cup of coffee
- 30ml (1fl oz) vodka
- 30ml (1fl oz) Frangelico
- 6 ice cubes
- 5g (0.2oz) sugar
- ½ Gianduiotto chocolate
1984, London. A model walks into a bar and asks for a drink that will wake her up. This leads to the creation of the Espresso Martini, reinvented by the Lavazza Training Centre using a traditional Piedmontese liqueur: Frangelico.
Make an espresso and add sugar. Place the ice, sweetened coffee, vodka and Frangelico in the shaker. Shake well and pour the contents into a martini glass.
Cut a Gianduiotto chocolate in half, then make an incision so that it can rest on the edge of the glass. You could also add some decorative coffee beans to the top of the drink.
